Camp Samae San, Sattahip, Thailand

To my fellow Veteran's, I'm seeking veterans who served in Camp Samae San, Sattahip, Thailand between 1970 through 1974. I'm initiating a VA claim for possible asbestos exposure, type II diabetes, prostate cancer, heart disease, and hepatitis C-virus. My MOS at the time was 71B20 (Clerk Typist). I personally served between 1973 through 1974. My duty station was HHC USAPTHAI, and I'm not if it included the Garrison. Any information, documentation or insights is greatly appreciated.

I arrived in Germany in December 1966 and was assigned to C btry, 6/9arty. We were a M107 175mm SP gun unit. I was assigned to the FDC section and by the end of my enlistment in July 1969 was chief of section, Hdq. FDC. I only remember a few friends, one being Rick Fonger from Lowell Michigan. We’ve kept in touch over the years and would like to communicate with anyone from the 6/9. I can be reached at 302-743-6354- best to leave a text first.

Does anyone out there know if there were any issues recorded with US military planes from Vietnam during the war going to bases in Spain such as San Pablo and Rota? I'm looking for evidence on whether there were planes with Agent Orange (AO) on them, which were repaired at military bases in Spain specially in San Pablo and Rota. Any information can be helpful for a US veteran that was stationed there and is now suffering from illnesses associated with AO. Thanks in advance. Jaime

Hi all! I'm looking for anyone who may have known my father! He passed away when I was 5, and I'm almost 30 now. Looking for any information because my family on my dad's side is no longer around! His name was Boyd Randall Ido, went by Randy, was stationed at Mountain AFB in Idaho in the late 80's, service was around 1984-april of 1988! Thank you!!!!

Dear Veteran, My name is Jack Hiatt and I am 16 years old. I am doing a history project where I have to interview 3-4 veterans from the Vietnam War. I have a 65+ community in my neighborhood and all of those who have served have passed on. If it would be okay, I'll ask you some questions. How old were you during the conflict? What were you doing during the war years? (School, Job, etc.) Can you describe your perception of the war? Did it change throughout the course of the war? What impacted your perception of the war? Did you know anyone who fought in the war? How did that impact you? In what way did the Vietnam war affect your life (if any)? What was your most vivid memory of the Vietnam war? Really, I am looking for a veteran for a friend. Her name is Judith Bucholz. She is looking to reconnect with a fellow AF veteran she served with at Beale AFB in California around 1962-68. His name is James Wirsching or Wirshing. He was a CPT. She thinks he may be living in Pennslyvania or Ohio or at least has lived there previously. Based on what I do have he would be around 80 years old. If anyone has any possible leads it would be greatly appreciated.
