2951st CLSS

Left for Basic Training at Lackland AFB on March 3, 1967. After basic I went to Chanute AFB for technical school as a 423X0 Aircraft Electrician. My first assignment was to the 2951st Combat Logistics Support Squadron at McClellan AFB outside of Sacramento, CA. I worked on the F-105 Thunder Chief. As a depot electrician we were expected to work on what every was in front of us. I was sent TDY to Takli AFB and Korat AFB in Thiland and from there sent to Chu Cat Republic of Viet Nam. Following the 2952 CLSS I was sent to Ramey AFB, Puerto Rico serving with the 53rd Weather Recon Sqd, Hurricane Hunters. Got married July 17, 1970, long storey and left the Air Force in Dec 1970 to be with my wife and go back to school. More to come.
