On March 10 1971, at 17 I was sent to the Marine Corps. I did my basic training at Parris Island. After some unfortunate setbacks, I was assigned to Camp LeJeune for advanced infantry training. I was assigned to Memphis Millington TN for my 1072 POS Training. I was later reassigned to El Toro CA. After a brief period I was once again to First Marines, HMS-24 Kaneohe, Hawaii.
