Drafted in February 1969, BCT and AIT (11B10) at Fort Dix, NJ. Then went to OCS at Ft. Belvoir, VA, and commissioned in January 1970. Spent the next (nearly) 2 years at Ft. Devens, MA, at the USASATC&S. I was sent to Ranger School in February, 1971, and unexpectedly received an early ETS in October, 1971.
