132nd Fighter-Bomber Wing

The 132nd Fighter-Bomber Wing was a unit of the United States Air Force, originally established as the 132nd Fighter Wing in 1947 and based in Des Moines, Iowa. During the Korean War, it was federalized and redesignated as the 132nd Fighter-Bomber Wing, tasked with training and supporting fighter-bomber operations. The wing operated aircraft such as the F-51 Mustang and later transitioned to jet fighters, including the F-84 Thunderjet. After its active service in the early 1950s, the unit returned to state control and continued its legacy as part of the Iowa Air National Guard, eventually becoming the 132nd Wing with evolving missions over the decades.

60th Air Mobility Wing

The 60th Air Mobility Wing is a unit of the United States Air Force based at Travis Air Force Base in California. It is responsible for providing rapid global mobility and sustainment for military operations worldwide. The Wing operates a fleet of cargo and tanker aircraft, including the C-5 Galaxy, C-17 Globemaster III, and KC-10 Extender. Additionally, the 60th Air Mobility Wing supports humanitarian missions, aeromedical evacuations, and other critical operations as needed.
3350 TTW:3370th TTG - Chanute AFB IL

The 3350th Technical Training Wing (TTW) and its successor, the 3370th Technical Training Group (TTG), were key units stationed at Chanute Air Force Base, Illinois. Established in the post-World War II era, the 3350th TTW was responsible for providing advanced technical training in aircraft maintenance, weather, and missile systems for thousands of Air Force personnel. In 1971, the 3350th TTW was redesignated as the 3370th TTG, continuing its mission of technical training support until Chanute AFB’s closure in 1993. Throughout its service, the unit played a vital role in preparing Air Force technicians and specialists, contributing significantly to the readiness and effectiveness of the U.S. Air Force.
