Hello, I was a member of VF-51 and our squadron made the last cruise on the Rusty Rosey in 1976 to the Med. I was in IM3 part of ships company when at sea. Rate AQ3. AQ1 Vincent and AQ1 Mary were in charge of our shop

HI I AM THE DAUGHTER OF A CHINA MARINE. I CAME ACROSS PICTURES IN MY FATHER'S BELONGINGS OF CORP. BEN CONNER. HE HAD THEM SET ASIDE SO I DECIDED TO SEARCH AND MAYBE SEND THEM TO HIM OR HIS FAMILY. THEY SERVED IN CHINA IN WW2.

I am a new member of this site and have a question? I served in the Navy in VA-25 and had a WestPac cruise in 1970 aboard the USS Ranger in the Tonkin Gulf. Someone has questioned my being a Vietnam Veteran because I was not in country. Is that true.

I was told by the V.A. that I am a Vietnam veteran 1966 1970 and at 70% working on 100% from many issues from agent orang. hope this helps. god bless . b garcia

If you were in the Gulf you should have got the Viet Nam service medal. Anyone in during your time period but not in the war zone is an Era Vet.
