USS Worcester (CL-144) was a Cleveland-class light cruiser of the United States Navy, commissioned in 1948. Designed during World War II but completed postwar, she featured advanced dual-purpose 6-inch guns intended for both anti-aircraft and surface action. Worcester served primarily with the Atlantic and Mediterranean fleets, participating in numerous exercises, goodwill visits, and NATO operations during the early Cold War years.
