USS Russell (DDG-59) is an Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer commissioned into the United States Navy in 1997. Named in honor of Rear Admiral John Henry Russell and his son, Major General John Henry Russell Jr., the ship has participated in multiple deployments supporting global maritime security and anti-piracy operations.
