USS Rushmore (LSD 47) is a Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship commissioned into the United States Navy on June 1, 1991. Designed to support amphibious operations, Rushmore has participated in numerous deployments, including missions in the Western Pacific, Indian Ocean, and the Arabian Gulf.
