USS Ingraham (DD-694) was an Allen M. Sumner-class destroyer commissioned by the United States Navy in 1944. She served with distinction in the Pacific Theater during World War II, participating in operations such as the Battle of Okinawa and providing vital anti-aircraft and shore bombardment support. After the war, Ingraham was active during the Korean War, where she performed screening, patrol, and gunfire support missions. The ship continued to serve through the Cold War until her decommissioning in 1971, after which she was transferred to the Hellenic Navy of Greece.

Sumner-class destroyer, among the most advanced U.S. Navy destroyers during World War II, with improved anti-aircraft armament and stability. • Commissioning: USS Ingraham was commissioned on 10 March 1944 at the Federal Shipbuilding & Dry Dock Company, Kearny, New Jersey. • World War II Service: Ingraham participated in key operations in the Pacific, including the Battle of Okinawa and escort missions for fast carrier task forces. • Kamikaze Attacks: During the Okinawa campaign, Ingraham survived several kamikaze attacks, showcasing the crew's bravery and the ship's resilience. • Korean War: After World War II, she was recommissioned for service in the Korean War, providing naval gunfire support and screening for aircraft carriers. • Cold War Service: Ingraham continued active service throughout the 1950s and 1960s, participating in NATO exercises and Mediterranean deployments. • FRAM Modernization: In the early 1960s, she underwent a Fleet Rehabilitation and Modernization (FRAM) overhaul, receiving advanced sonar and anti-submarine weapons. • Decommissioning and Transfer: USS Ingraham was decommissioned on 15 July 1971 and transferred to the Hellenic Navy, where she was renamed Miaoulis (D-211). • Awards: For her service, USS Ingraham earned 4 battle stars during World War II and 2 battle stars during the Korean War.
