USS Force (MSO-445) was an Aggressive-class minesweeper commissioned by the United States Navy in 1954. Designed for ocean-going mine countermeasure operations, she served primarily in the Pacific Fleet, participating in exercises and deployments that included support during the Vietnam War. The ship was involved in various operations to ensure safe passage for allied vessels by detecting and removing naval mines. After decades of distinguished service, USS Force was decommissioned in 1992 and subsequently stricken from the Naval Vessel Register.

She was laid down on 26 January 1953 by J. M. Martinac Shipbuilding Corp. in Tacoma, Washington, and commissioned on 4 May 1955.

The ship's hull was constructed of wood and non-magnetic materials, reducing the risk of triggering magnetic mines.

USS Force earned distinction as one of the minesweepers that served during the Vietnam War, supporting "Operation Market Time" coastal surveillance and interdiction missions.

On 21 June 1969, USS Force suffered a devastating fire while at sea off Vietnam, caused by a gasoline explosion in the engine room. The crew fought the fire for hours, and the ship was later towed to Subic Bay for repairs.

The ship participated in numerous multinational exercises throughout the Pacific, including operations with allied navies such as those of Japan, South Korea, and the Philippines.
