U.S. Navy Mobile Construction Battalion ONE (USNMCB 1), also known as "Seabees," was first commissioned in 1942 during World War II to provide critical construction support to the Navy and Marine Corps in combat zones. Throughout its history, NMCB 1 has participated in major conflicts including World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, and operations in the Middle East, building airfields, bases, roads, and other vital infrastructure under often hazardous conditions.
