Enlisted in the USMC in 1966 at the age of 30 in Camp Lejeune. Went to Battle Skills Training @ Camp Geiger, NC. Immediately after I transitioned to Iwakuni, Japan for 1 year. From there, to Camp Lejeune, NC. Won Corporals Course Honor Man, at age 32. Was Meritoriously Promoted to Sergeant in Three years. Placed 10th in Sgt's Course. Went to Staff NCO Course and was transitioned to "OIF" Iraq in 2003. Was Combat Meritoriously promoted to E-7, Gy. Sgt. within 7 years from enlistment. Was awarded "Engineer of the Year" of the USMC in 2003. Also awarded the Combat Action Ribbon. Became a Warrant Officer and finally a CWO2. Went to Iraq in support of (2003) "Operation Iraqi Freedom," (2004)"Operation Enduring Freedom" and finally 2006 "Operation Enduring Freedom." MOS was a 1310 Engineer Officer. Operations and Maintenance.
