The Engineer Support Company (EngrSptCo), part of the 1st Engineer Battalion (1stEngrBn), boasts a storied legacy within the U.S. Army. The battalion traces its origins to 1846, making it one of the Army’s oldest engineer units, and has participated in every major American conflict since the Mexican-American War. Engineer Support Company specializes in providing critical mobility, counter-mobility, and survivability support through construction, demolition, and obstacle emplacement/removal. Throughout its history, EngrSptCo has played vital roles in campaigns from World War II’s European theaters to recent operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, demonstrating adaptability and technical expertise in both combat and support operations.
