USCG Coos Bay, Oregon, is a United States Coast Guard unit with a longstanding presence on the southern Oregon coast. Established in 1915, the station has played a critical role in maritime safety, search and rescue operations, and law enforcement in the challenging waters near the entrance to Coos Bay and the Pacific Ocean. Over the decades, the unit has responded to countless emergencies, assisting distressed vessels and protecting the local maritime community.
