Air Detachment Annette

Air Detachment Annette was a United States Army Air Forces unit established during World War II to support operations in Alaska and the Aleutian Islands. Stationed at Annette Island Army Airfield, Alaska, the detachment was responsible for providing air transport, reconnaissance, and logistical support in the challenging conditions of the North Pacific. Its operations were crucial in maintaining supply lines and communications between bases in Alaska and western Canada, particularly during the Aleutian Campaign against Japanese forces.
