• Origins of DINFOS: The Defense Information School (DINFOS) was established in 1964, consolidating various military public affairs and journalism schools into one joint-service training center. • USARIS Connection: USARIS stood for the U.S. Army Information School, one of the predecessors to DINFOS, focused on training Army personnel in information and public affairs before DINFOS was formed. • Location Over Time: DINFOS was originally located at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana, before relocating in 1995 to Fort George G.
