HQ company, 1st battalion, 1st infantry

HQ Company, 1st Battalion, 1st Infantry, traces its lineage to the historic 1st Infantry Regiment, one of the oldest continuously serving units in the United States Army, originally constituted in 1791. The battalion has participated in major conflicts including the War of 1812, the Civil War, both World Wars, and the Vietnam War, earning numerous campaign streamers and unit citations for its valor and service. As the command and control element, HQ Company has played a vital role in coordinating operations, intelligence, and logistics for the battalion throughout its storied history.
