Basic Training at Fort Jackson, SC (1974). AIT at Fort Devens, MA for Army Security Agency. Assigned to 415th ASA Co. in Augsburg, Germany (1975). Promoted to E5 and transitioned to become Combat Medic, attending AIT at Fort Sam Houston, Tx. Assigned to Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Gordon, GA (1977). Worked in the ER for four years. Promoted to E6 and then assigned as NCOIC of the Amosist Program. Re-Assigned to 1-59th Air Defense Artillary Bn as NCOIC of the Bn Aid Station (1982). Selected for E7 and then assigned to HHC, 1st Brigade, 1st Infantry Division as the Brigade Medical NCO (1985). Deployed with 1st Bde to Operation Desert Shield. Returned to Fort Riley, selected for E8 and became the 1st Sgt/CSM for the 16th MASH (1991), retiring after 20 years in November 1994.
