HHB 2:28th FA

Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 2nd Battalion, 28th Field Artillery (HHB 2/28th FA) traces its origins to the activation of the 28th Field Artillery Regiment in 1918 at Camp Funston, Kansas. The 2nd Battalion saw distinguished service during World War II, participating in several major campaigns in the European Theater. During the Cold War, the unit was reactivated and stationed in Germany as part of the U.S. Army’s commitment to NATO, providing critical fire support and readiness.
