B Company, 1st Battalion, 31st Infantry (Mechanized), 2nd Infantry Division, has a distinguished history within the U.S. Army. Originally activated in 1916, the 31st Infantry Regiment served with valor in Siberia during the Russian Civil War and later in the Philippines during World War II, where it endured the Bataan Death March. In the Korean War, the regiment, as part of the 2nd Infantry Division, fought in several pivotal battles, including the Chosin Reservoir.
