The 9th Supply and Transportation Battalion (9th S&T Bn) was a key logistics unit of the U.S. Army, originally activated during the Vietnam War era. Assigned to the 9th Infantry Division, the battalion provided vital supply, transportation, and logistical support to combat operations in the Mekong Delta from 1966 to 1970. Its personnel managed the movement of equipment, fuel, ammunition, and other essential materials, ensuring the division’s ability to conduct sustained operations in challenging environments. After Vietnam, the 9th S&T Battalion continued to support the 9th Infantry Division during stateside assignments until it was inactivated following Army force reductions in the early 1990s.
