The 9th Motor Transport Battalion was a logistics unit of the United States Marine Corps, activated during the Vietnam War era. Tasked with providing motor transport support, the battalion played a crucial role in sustaining combat operations by transporting troops, equipment, and supplies throughout the I Corps Tactical Zone in Vietnam. The unit supported major Marine operations, including those around Da Nang and the northern regions near the DMZ. After years of distinguished service and adaptability in challenging environments, the 9th Motor Transport Battalion was eventually deactivated as part of post-war force reductions.
