981st MP Co

The 981st Military Police Company (981st MP Co) was constituted on 24 June 1942 in the Army of the United States and activated on 15 July 1942 at Fort Ontario, New York. Throughout World War II, the unit provided military police support in both the European and Pacific Theaters, earning commendations for its exemplary service. In subsequent decades, the 981st MP Company was reorganized and has supported numerous missions, including law enforcement, force protection, and deployment in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.
