The 91st Anti-Aircraft Artillery (AAA) Battalion was activated during World War II to provide critical air defense for Allied forces. Equipped primarily with mobile anti-aircraft guns, the battalion saw action in both the European and Mediterranean theaters, protecting supply depots, airfields, and troop concentrations from enemy air attacks. Throughout its service, the 91st AAA Battalion earned commendations for its effectiveness in repelling German Luftwaffe raids and safeguarding vital logistical operations. After the war, the unit continued to serve during the early Cold War period before being inactivated as air defense strategies evolved.
