The 903rd Heavy Equipment Maintenance (HEM) Battalion was activated during the Vietnam War to provide critical maintenance and logistical support for U.S. Army engineering and combat units. Specializing in the repair and recovery of heavy vehicles and equipment, the battalion ensured operational readiness in challenging environments.
