C Company, 2nd Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment (PIR) is a distinguished unit within the 82nd Airborne Division of the United States Army. Activated during World War II, the 2-508th PIR parachuted into Normandy on D-Day, June 6, 1944, playing a crucial role in securing key objectives behind enemy lines. The battalion continued to serve with distinction in major campaigns such as Operation Market Garden and the Battle of the Bulge.
