The 76th Training Division, originally constituted in 1917 as the 76th Division, has a distinguished lineage in the United States Army. During World War I and World War II, the unit served as an infantry division, participating in key campaigns in Europe. After World War II, the division underwent several reorganizations, eventually being redesignated as the 76th Division (Training) in 1959 to focus on training Army Reserve soldiers. Today, the 76th Training Division continues its legacy by providing mission command and training support to ensure Army Reserve units are ready for mobilization and deployment.
