The 66th Aviation Company was an integral U.S. Army aviation unit activated during the Vietnam War era. Established in the early 1960s, the company was initially equipped with fixed-wing aircraft such as the Grumman OV-1 Mohawk and was tasked with aerial reconnaissance and surveillance missions. The 66th Aviation Company played a crucial role in gathering intelligence and providing real-time battlefield information to ground commanders throughout its deployment in Southeast Asia. Following its distinguished service, the unit was eventually deactivated as part of post-war realignments and downsizing.
