62nd Expeditionary Signal Battalion

The 62nd Expeditionary Signal Battalion was constituted on 3 May 1941 in the Regular Army as the 62nd Signal Battalion and activated at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. During World War II, the battalion provided critical communications support throughout the European Theater, notably participating in campaigns in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, and Central Europe.
