The 627th Hospital Center is a U.S. Army medical unit with a mission to provide command and control of assigned medical treatment facilities and units in support of military operations. Activated during World War II, the unit played a key role in managing medical care and evacuation for combat forces in the European Theater. Over the decades, the 627th has supported various humanitarian and contingency missions, adapting to advances in battlefield medicine. Today, the 627th Hospital Center remains a vital component of Army medical readiness, prepared to deploy globally in support of joint and coalition operations.
