The 61st Aviation Company was a United States Army aviation unit stationed at Vung Tau, South Vietnam, during the Vietnam War. Activated in 1962, the company was primarily equipped with fixed-wing aircraft such as the U-1 Otter, providing critical transport and logistical support throughout the III and IV Corps Tactical Zones. The 61st Aviation Company played a vital role in troop movements, medical evacuations, and supply missions under challenging combat conditions. The unit remained active in Vietnam until its inactivation in 1972 as part of the U.S. drawdown.
