The 6th Battalion, 14th Field Artillery Regiment (6/14th FA) was first constituted on 1 July 1916 in the Regular Army as Battery F, 14th Field Artillery. The unit saw distinguished service during World War II in the European Theater, supporting Allied advances with critical artillery fire. Reactivated and reorganized multiple times, the 6/14th FA played a significant role in the Vietnam War, providing direct fire support to infantry operations and earning several unit commendations. In the post-Vietnam era, the battalion continued its legacy as part of various artillery brigades, adapting to evolving military doctrines and maintaining its reputation for excellence in field artillery operations.
