The 545th Military Police Company, assigned to the 1st Cavalry Division, has a distinguished history of service dating back to its activation during World War II. The unit provided critical law enforcement, security, and battlefield circulation control during major conflicts including the Vietnam War, where it supported division operations and earned commendations for its performance. Over the decades, the 545th MP Company has deployed in support of Operation Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Enduring Freedom, consistently upholding high standards of discipline and protection for soldiers and assets. Today, the unit continues its mission at Fort Cavazos (formerly Fort Hood), Texas, maintaining readiness to support both domestic and overseas operations.
