The 513th Military Intelligence Brigade was originally constituted on 15 October 1948 as the 513th Military Intelligence Service Group. Activated at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland, the unit has undergone several reorganizations and redesignations over the decades. Since its activation, the brigade has provided critical intelligence support to U.S. Army operations, particularly focusing on signals and human intelligence. Headquartered at Fort Eisenhower (formerly Fort Gordon), Georgia, the 513th MI Brigade currently supports U.S. Army Central Command (CENTCOM) and conducts intelligence operations across the Middle East and Southwest Asia.
