The 5012th WAC Detachment was a unit in the Women's Army Corps (WAC) during the mid-20th century, primarily active in the post-World War II era. Stationed at various locations, including overseas assignments such as in Germany and Japan, the detachment provided vital administrative, logistical, and support services to U.S. Army operations. Members of the 5012th WAC Detachment played a key role in maintaining military efficiency during the occupation and rebuilding periods. The unit’s contributions reflected the expanding roles of women in the U.S. military during the early Cold War years.
