The 4th Quartermaster Company is a vital logistics unit in the United States Army, renowned for its expertise in aerial delivery and mortuary affairs operations. Activated during World War II, the unit played a crucial role in supporting Allied forces by ensuring the efficient supply of equipment, food, and materials to front-line troops. Throughout its history, the 4th Quartermaster has participated in numerous conflicts and humanitarian missions, providing critical support during operations such as Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom. Today, the company continues its legacy of excellence, serving as the Army’s only active-duty mortuary affairs unit and maintaining readiness to deploy worldwide in support of military and humanitarian missions.
