449th Chemical Company, 49th AR DIV

The 449th Chemical Company is a specialized unit within the 49th Armored Division (49th AR DIV) of the United States Army National Guard. Activated during the late 20th century, the 449th Chemical Company’s primary mission was to provide chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) defense support to division-level operations. Over its service, the unit participated in numerous training exercises and mobilizations, supporting both homeland defense and overseas contingencies.
