**445th Helicopter Assault Maintenance Company (445 HAM Co.)** The 445th Helicopter Assault Maintenance Company was activated in 1967 to provide dedicated maintenance and logistical support for helicopter assault units during the Vietnam War. Stationed primarily at Long Binh Post, the unit specialized in rapid repair and recovery operations for UH-1 Hueys and CH-47 Chinooks, playing a crucial role in sustaining air mobility for combat and medevac missions. Throughout its deployment, the 445 HAM Co. earned commendations for its efficiency and innovation under hostile conditions, ensuring high operational readiness. After the conflict, the company continued to serve in various capacities until its deactivation in the early 1980s as part of Army restructuring.
