407th Military Intelligence Battalion INSCOM

The 407th Military Intelligence Battalion was activated on October 16, 1987, as part of the U.S. Army’s Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM). The battalion’s primary mission has been to provide multi-discipline intelligence support—including signals, human, and counterintelligence—to Army and joint forces. Throughout its history, the 407th has supported operations both in the United States and overseas, including deployments during Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.
