3:73 Cavalry

The 3rd Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment (3/73 CAV) is an active reconnaissance unit within the 82nd Airborne Division of the United States Army. Reactivated in 2006, the squadron traces its lineage to earlier cavalry and anti-tank units, serving as the division's eyes and ears on the battlefield. 3/73 CAV has deployed in support of major operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, where its paratroopers have conducted reconnaissance, security, and direct action missions.
