The 351st Assault Helicopter Company was activated during the Vietnam War to provide vital air mobility and support for U.S. and allied ground forces. Equipped primarily with UH-1 "Huey" helicopters, the 351st conducted troop insertions, extractions, resupply missions, and medical evacuations under challenging and often hostile conditions. The unit played a crucial role in numerous operations, demonstrating exceptional bravery and effectiveness in the face of enemy fire. After distinguished service in Vietnam, the company was eventually inactivated as the U.S. military reduced its presence in the region.
