334th Armed Helicopter Company (334 AWC) was a distinguished U.S. Army aviation unit deployed during the Vietnam War. Activated in 1966 at Bien Hoa Air Base, South Vietnam, the 334th specialized in armed helicopter operations, providing aerial fire support, escort, and air assault missions for ground forces. The unit was known for flying UH-1 “Huey” gunships and later AH-1 Cobra helicopters, playing a crucial role in counterinsurgency and rapid reaction operations throughout III Corps Tactical Zone.
