3:327th Infantry

The 3rd Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment (3/327th Infantry), known as the "Battle Force," is a distinguished unit within the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). Activated during World War II, the 327th Infantry Regiment participated in major operations, including the Normandy landings, Operation Market Garden, and the Battle of the Bulge. The 3/327th later served with distinction in Vietnam, earning multiple unit citations for valor and effectiveness in combat. In recent decades, the battalion has deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan, continuing its legacy of excellence in airborne and air assault operations.
