317th Transportation

The 317th Transportation Company was first constituted during World War II, activated on 1 May 1943, to provide motor transport support for U.S. Army operations in the European Theater. The unit played a crucial role in the logistics chain, delivering troops, supplies, and equipment across challenging terrain during the war. After deactivation post-war, the 317th was reactivated and has since supported various missions, including deployments in support of Operations Desert Shield/Desert Storm, Iraqi Freedom, and Enduring Freedom.
