The 2nd Ranger Company was an elite United States Army unit formed during the Korean War, officially activated on October 28, 1950, at Fort Benning, Georgia. It holds the distinction of being the only all-Black Ranger unit in U.S. Army history. The company participated in several critical combat operations, including the successful airborne assault at Munsan-ni in March 1951, where it played a pivotal role in disrupting enemy lines. The 2nd Ranger Company was deactivated in August 1951, but its legacy endures as a symbol of courage, professionalism, and the advancement of racial integration in the U.S. military.
