The 2nd Battalion, 4th Infantry Regiment ("Warriors") is a distinguished unit in the United States Army with a rich history dating back to its establishment in 1808. During the Cold War, the battalion was stationed in Heilbronn, Germany, serving as part of the 56th Field Artillery Brigade and later the 56th Field Artillery Command. In this role, the 2-4 Infantry provided critical security for Pershing nuclear missile sites, playing a key part in NATO's deterrence strategy against the Soviet Union. The unit remained in Heilbronn until the early 1990s, when the end of the Cold War led to its redeployment and eventual inactivation in Europe.
