The 2nd Battalion, 41st Infantry Regiment, known as "2-41 Infantry," is a mechanized infantry battalion that has served under the 1st Armored Division and has a distinguished combat history. During Operation Desert Storm in 1991, the battalion was paired with the 2nd Armored Division (Forward) and played a pivotal role in the famous "Battle of 73 Easting," engaging and defeating Iraqi armored forces. Throughout its service, 2-41 Infantry has participated in numerous deployments, including missions in Bosnia, Iraq, and Afghanistan, earning a reputation for combat effectiveness and adaptability. The unit continues to serve as a key element of the U.S. Army’s armored and mechanized infantry capabilities.
