C Company, 2nd Battalion, 137th Infantry Regiment is a unit of the Kansas Army National Guard with a distinguished lineage tracing back to World War I. Originally organized in 1917, the 137th Infantry served with valor in major campaigns such as the Meuse-Argonne Offensive. Reactivated for World War II, the battalion fought in the European Theater, including the Normandy and Rhineland campaigns. In recent years, C Company has supported operations both at home and abroad, including deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and various state missions for disaster response and homeland security. The unit upholds a proud tradition of service and dedication to state and nation.
