The 1st Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment, often referred to as "1-14 Infantry," is a distinguished unit within the 25th Infantry Division of the United States Army. Nicknamed the "Golden Dragons," the battalion traces its origins back to 1861 and has seen combat in major conflicts including the Indian Wars, World War II, the Korean War, Vietnam War, and more recent operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. During its service in the Vietnam War as part of the 25th Infantry Division, the 1-14th played a vital role in numerous operations and earned several unit citations for valor. Today, the battalion remains an integral part of the 25th Infantry Division, upholding a legacy of courage, adaptability, and distinguished service.
